Our New Range of Upholstered Bedheads

Posted by on March 04, 2014 .

Have you checked out our new range of upholstered bedheads? Luxurious, upholstered bedheads are the heart of our furniture collection and they can be made in hundreds of spectacular fabrics, which will give your bedroom a refined elegance.

We have designed both classic and contemporary upholstered bedheads, with combinations to suit everyone’s style. One of the most striking, modern designs is Rodeo, which we upholstered in Entice, Citrine from Warwick Fabrics. It’s a bold, square design and it comes in two heights – 150cm and 170cm. It’s named after Rodeo Drive in LA, which is where celebrities go shopping…and this is an A-List kind of bedhead! Newly added to our line, we now have a winged version of Rodeo, called Jolla, for a more striking effect. And in case you’re wondering, La Jolla is a fab shopping village in San Diego.

Another modern style is the rectangular Castlereagh upholstered bedhead, which has an added feature – a relief panel that sits in the middle of the main panel. It’s designed to be upholstered in two different fabrics, and the potential for different combinations is endless. We used beautifully soft cotton velvet from Designers Guild’s Varese range in Raven, complemented by Christian Lacroix’s Butterfly Parade fabric. But if you find a fabric you’re particularly in love with, it also looks great in just one. Lovely elegance – just as you’d expect for a style named after one of Sydney’s most famous shopping streets!

There’s a London influence in another of our upholstered bedheads - Bond - with its lovely curved shape and simple lines. We think it looks great in any fabric, but particularly stands out in deep red, with gold piping. It works well plain, but also looks gorgeous with studs in chrome, black or antique bronze. Another London-named style is Savile, which is a similar shape to Bond and is equally elegant and adaptable.

Of course, there’s room for more conservative designs as well and Collins is a great example of one of our more traditional (and most popular) styles. A simplified version of Castlereagh, and available at a height of 130cm, it is an understated yet beautiful piece which looks best in a single fabric, with contrast added by piping or studs. It’s a name that is very dear to us, with Collins Street being right here in Melbourne! There is also a new version available, with buttons - it’s called Russell, after another iconic Melbourne street that houses the new Chanel flagship store (cnr Flinders Lane).

There really is an upholstered bedhead design for everyone – as well as the ones we’ve picked out, there are several more, ranging from bolder pieces to the more subtle. If you don’t see something you like, we also develop custom designs so you can mix and match, or design one yourself. Best of all, all of our pieces are Australian made, so you can trust the manufacturing quality and know that you’re supporting our local economy.

All our pieces are handmade with care and bring something special to your bedroom!

Please contact us to discuss your design requirements.
